UANYCHM2020 Week 7

Just 91 more days until the race, time to get serious. Schedule for the week:

  • W7D1: 1.0mi very easy; drills + 3x strides; 3x 1.0mi @ 7:21/mile + 1:30 jog rest; 1.0mi very easy
  • W7D2: 5.0mi @ 8:52/mile
  • W7D3: 1.0mi very easy; drills + 3x strides; 4x 5:00 @ 7:41/mile + 1:00 jog rest; 1.0mi very easy
  • W7D4: 7.0mi @ 8:52/mile

W7E1 (Extra) Easy 2 miles at 9:03/mile.

W7D1 Speed was a joy. This is my 7th day running at least a mile per day streak. I didn't feel fatigued or pain which was good. The additional Extra/Easy days are not in the way.

W7D2 Easy didn't happen because my treadmill broke. So while it's laying there being an useless piece of shit, I'll have to either run outside (when it's not too cold out), on treadmill at work, on treadmill at Crunch. Gahhh it's been only 5 weeks since I got it. This ends my running streak of 7 days (at least 1 mile/day).

W7D3 Threshold after work. Since we're going to have dinner in the city after work I brought my gear and snuck in a run just before the appointment. Good workout!

W7D4 Longish run didn't happen. I had too much Taco Bell for lunch and a bit over 1 mile in my stomach decided that I won't be running 10 miles today. Not so great a week (considering I still had 2 quality days down).
