UANYCHM2020 Week 5

This week started out not so great. My sore throat turned into a cold and I had to cancel my W5D1 Speed session. I might have to miss W5D2 as well.

  • W5D1: 1.5mi very easy; drills + 3x strides; 3x 0.75mi @ 7:21/mile; 1.5mi very easy
  • W5D2: 5.0mi @ 8:52/mile
  • W5D3: 1.5mi very easy; drills + 3x strides; 3x 1.0mi @ 7:41/mile; 1.5mi very easy
  • W5D4: 6.0mi @ 8:52/mile

So I was practically out the whole week due to a cold. This blows but it happens and it will happen from time to time. The main thing is to accept it and carry on with training once things go back to normal. Fitness level will take a hit but in the grand scheme of things it should not matter much.

I did have one strong run on Saturday, it was the Ted Corbitt 15K in Central Park.
