Summer is almost over

I have been mostly maintaining my running fitness with the occasional 5K/4M/5M/10K run. It's not as hot as I expect it to be, but very humid. I still prefer and do run outside when conditions permit, so the treadmill has been neglected. Understandably though, it will be useful again during winter months, just like how Michael Buble songs make a comeback every Christmas seasons.

To complement the training, I went ahead and bought a water rower. The wife rated it 'great buy' and she's probably been using it a bit more than I do. It is indeed a great whole-body (or 80%+), low-impact workout. I can overcome the boredom with streaming, or just enjoy the wavy sound from within the water tank.

Cooler months are going to be here soon. I just need to endure a few more weeks of hot, uncomfortable running then it will be great to be outside again (with a natural 10-15% gain in performance.) Can't wait!
